BRTC HOLDS CAREER EXPLORATION DAY

BRTC HOLDS CAREER EXPLORATION DAY

POCAHONTAS, AR April 29— Black River Technical College held a Career Exploration Day on the Pocahontas campus on April 5 and on the Paragould campus on April 7.

At the event, the college offered career interest inventories for students who have not declared a major or resume and cover letter help to students ready to enter the workforce.

Walmart representatives attended the event to promote Walmart’s College to Career Program and its Summer Intern Program. Neal Harwell, Director of Student Development and organizer of the event, states, “This event was created to help students, particularly those graduating in May, prepare for a job search and interview. It also allowed students the opportunity to speak with a major corporation and learn what they have to offer students completing an associate degree.”
