BRTC’s Machine Tool Technology Program Partners with Haas
POCAHONTAS, AR Jan. 19—Black River Technical College’s Machine Tool Technology Program is partnering with Haas to become a Haas Technical Education Community (HTEC) Center.
The HTEC is a worldwide partnership program established to “transform CNC classrooms into high-tech, advanced manufacturing labs that provide the best CNC education possible.” Through this partnership BRTC instructors will “gain access to industry-standard CNC machines and essential technologies, as well as classroom materials, professional training, and national and international conferences.”
BRTC is pleased to partner with Haas and has hung a Haas banner outside and inside the Machine Tool Technology Shops. Dr. Brad Baine, BRTC Vice President of Academic Affairs, states, “I am very grateful for the successful efforts of Instructor Barker as we are continually looking for ways to improve our academic programs and prepare our students to obtain the highest level of workforce skills. The benefits from this partnership will allow BRTC students to learn up-to-date information on cutting edge technology from HAAS and the machining Industry. In addition, the BRTC faculty and students will be afforded industry networking opportunities so instructors and students may expand their professional resources.”
