Supplementary Information
Application Packet

All of the following must be submitted to attend the Law Enforcement Training Academy

  1. BRTC Application for Training
  2. Physical Training Information Form
  3. Waiver of Liabilities and Information
  4. Summary Report Form
  5. Immunization Record (Officers must have an MMR plus a booster MMR before being enrolled.  Mandatory for all officers born on or after January 1, 1957.    Any officer claiming a religious or philosophical exemption must contact the Arkansas Department of Health at (501) 661-2000.)
  6. Official high school transcript or GED Scores.  Not a copy of the diploma.
  7. Official college transcript for all colleges attended.  Not a copy of the diploma. Official transcripts can be mailed directly to BRTC Attn: Bridgette Rose. PO  Box 468, Pocahontas, AR 72455 or sent electronically to BRTC.
  8. Test Scores   (ACT, SAT, or Accuplacer scores OR proof of 30+ hours from another postsecondary institution. If you have not tested, it may be done at any local 2 or 4-year secondary institution.)
  9. Photocopy of your Arkansas Driver’s License
  10. Photocopy of your Social Security Card
  11. Photocopy of DD214 (if applicable)
If applying as a self-sponsored US Veteran, you will also need:
  1. Photocopy of Confirmation of Psychological Evaluation (Form F-2b)
  2. Release of Information Agreement 
  3. Personal History Statement (Form F-3)
  4. Medical Examination Report (Form F-2) in addition to #2 Physical Training Information Form listed above.

All students registering for training must be cleared by the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training (CLEST) before they are allowed to attend classes.  CLEST’s number is (501) 682-3601 if you need to check or update your file.
